Childrens Play

Children are well catered for on the park, which offers a play area, ball court and skate-park.   The park's play facilities are kept safe by means of the council's dedicated playground team.   The facilities within the park are inspected at least weekly by a trained playground inspector and maintenance issues will be dealt with promptly by the two man maintenance team. These inspections will be supplemented by a daily check by the on-site team

Outdoor Play

The Wardens have recently trained as Forest School Practitioners and have created an outdoor classroom in Barri Woods. Forest School is an innovative approach to learning based on outdoor play in a woodland environment. It aims to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through positive outdoor experiences. Sessions are student led and encourage children to explore their environment through free play. The Forest School training will be put into practice for both school and public events, and will provide a fantastic opportunity for learning about the natural environment through play
