Community Occupational Therapy Service

What is Community Occupational Therapy?

The Community Occupational Therapy Service is concerned with helping people of all ages with a disability, and their carers, to make the most of their abilities and remain as independent as possible within their own homes.

Community Occupational Therapists are qualified to work with people who have a wide range of disabilities.

How is this Achieved?

  • By giving appropriate and relevant advice about daily living activities.
  • By liaising with other relevant departments of the County Borough Council and agencies.
  • By providing suitable equipment.
  • By arranging to have the home environment adapted.
