Trust FundCurrently there is one trust fund available to students from the Merthyr Tydfil area, namely:-
Merthyr Tydfil Further Education Trust Fund
This fund is intended to benefit those students who have for not less than two years at any time attended a County Secondary School in the area of the former County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil(prior to 1974).
Funding is available in the form of :-
- grants for those attending approved courses outside the normal student loan schemes;
- financial assistance towards the purchase of outfits, clothing, tools, instruments or books for those leaving school or college to assist their entry into employment.
Applications should be marked "Merthyr Tydfil Further Education Trust Fund Forms" and accompanied by a stamped self-addressed envelope. Applications are invited from May of each year and the closing date for applications is 31 July of each year.
